Senior Instructor Jens Tilsner 3rd Dan instructs in the Dundee and Glenrothes Dojos.
He started training in Goju Ryu in 2000. After trying some ju jitsu, which did not quite satisfy him, a friend took him along to his karate club and he quickly knew he had found something he wanted to practice permanently.
He began training in Germany under Sensei S. Burger. Since moving to Scotland he has trained under Sensei Callum at the GMAA. He attends as many international gasshuku as he can manage and hopes that his two visits to the Honbu Dojo in Okinawa so far will not remain the last.
His goals in karate are to keep training for the rest of his life, and to learn and help preserve as much as possible of the depth of traditional karate.
