In brief, you should know the following about us: our Dojo was established in 1982 by Sensei Frank Sargent 5th Dan IOGKF Sensei Callum Dick 5th Dan IOGKF has been responsible for taking all classes since around 1995 and has now developed classes for all ages from 5years old and up no one is too old to train in traditional karate, the only opponent is yourself!
Our regular customers particularly value the fitness, self defence and Black Belt Excellence principles that we teach. Our Dojo is located at Stenton Jubilee Centre, Dunrobin Road, Stenton, Glenrothes.

We strongly believe that the Martial Arts offer something for everyone, no matter what the desired result, each student will gain the following benefits from our training:

There is a strict code of conduct which the students are expected to adhere to:
* The Karate uniform (Gi) is to be kept clean and tidy
* Shoes are to be removed outside the Dojo and placed neatly in order on entry to the Dojo
* Students should bow respectfully on entry to the Dojo and upon leaving.
* Students should call out "ONEGAISHIMASU" which means please teach me (I'd like to ask you), to show the instructor they are ready to learn.
* No jewellery whatsoever is to be worn during training.
* Students are expected to learn the DOJO KUN (which lays out our belief system) and are encouraged to live by its tenets.
The Dojo Kun are the guiding principles of our school written by our grand master
Morio Higaonna, 10th dan Hanshi.
Students should:
* Respect others
* be courageous
* train your mind and body
* practice daily and protect traditional karate
* strive to reach the essence of Goju Ryu
* NEVER GIVE UP!
